Welcome
all trainee appraisers
You
worked hard days and nights to get the license. What you learn from
school is the foundation for your next step: find a mentor and learn
real life experience from him/her.
There
are many reasons given by appraisers for not taking on the responsibility
for a trainee. "These appraisers say
they receive one or two desperate calls a week from trainees trying
to break in. They try to help when they can but the truth is few
are willing to train a stranger." (Taken from the
December 2001 Communicator by Douglas G. Smith, IFAS)
Since
it is too tough to break in, Truthful Appraisal would like to
help you in many different ways:
- If
you are an experienced trainee (having more than 1000 hours of
training), Truthful Appraisal will help you get free training from
a mentor.
- If
you have your own clients and agree to split fee 50/50 with a
mentor, Truthful Appraisal will help you find one
- If
you are an inexperienced trainee, Truthful Appraisal suggests
you to pay for training. We recommend two types of payments:
|
Type
|
Payment
|
Comments
|
| Pay
by report |
15%
of the report fee. |
Example:
a mentor accepts a residential appraisal order from ABC
Mortgage Inc. for $350. If he accepts to train trainee Mark,
he will earn an additional $52.50 from Mark. Now his income
will be up to $402.50. |
| Pay
per 100 logged hours |
$500
|
Trainees
pay in advance. Payment will decrease by $50 per 100 hrs
(i.e: $500 if trainee has less than 100 hours of experience,
$450 if trainee has more than 100 hours of experience, $400
if trainee has more than 200 hours of experience, $350 if
....). |
If
you have experienced a tough time finding a mentor, this is a remarkable
opportunity in your career. After submitting the following form,
your profile will become visible to all the available mentors. The
door to the appraisal world will be wide open to you from now on.
